SOLIDARITY
The project not only counteracts social isolation, but also networks artists of different genres, nationalities and diverse cultures through digital-media approaches, thus contributing to global solidarity.
NETWORKING
Each participant becomes part of an international and intercultural network. The results of each individual project will become part of a multi-annual artistic process.
INNOVATION
Within this cooperation, an innovative audiovisual project is created that is shaped by the different socio-cultural backgrounds of the artists as well as by the special circumstances of spatial distance.
ACCESS
It is not only in times of crisis that we need to question traditional concepts. Technological progress cannot replace an analogue, physical world, but it can eliminate spatial distances. Access across national borders can be facilitated, information exchange made possible and be more sustainable, not only in an ecological sense.
EXCHANGE
Self-responsibility, trust, learning. The artists, who get to know each other on a digital basis and exchange and collaborate over a three-month period, leave traditional, group-dynamic processes behind. A fundamental step of the creative practice is to meet each other at equal level and to let their diverse social and cultural backgrounds flow into the working process. Within the process of creation, new impulses, ideas and approaches emerge.
COOPERATION
The involvement of the network allows participation outside the residency, not only in the outcome of the work, but also in the cooperative process. This promotes new conceptual developments that are oriented towards the new conditions of the cultural landscape.
