RESIDENCY NO. 01

Within the pilot project from May to August 2020, the artists Francisca Saéz Agurto (Chile), Roberto Santaguida (Canada), Gowri Yayakumar aka Pulpy Shilpy (India) and Pavel Ruzyak (Czech Republic) participated. All artists were in lockdown in their corresponding countries due to the pandemic and the exchange and communication took place exclusively on a digital level. The artists had not met each other before the residency and created a collaborative audiovisual work through the disciplines of documentary film, sound, cinematography and new media.

The process

In changing times we have to think about new ways of communication. How do we manage to remain creative despite lockdown and restricted freedoms, how can we actively counteract personal and national isolation and work together across national borders and how can this new reality be inspiring? These and other questions were asked by the artists of the Home Residency Programme during the live talk with the audience of the Miller-Zillmer Foundation, moderated by Dr. Nicolas Bougaïeff. Today we invite you to listen to some of the fascinating experiences Francisca Saez Agurto, Pavel Ruzyak, Pulpy Shilpy and Roberto Santaguida have shared on their virtual island within the Home Residency Programme. Enjoy To learn more about the Artists @ Home Residency, visit us at https://homeresidency.miller-zillmer.foundation
